Cetera Financial Puts Advisor Education In The Spotlight

Cetera Financial Group rolled out an education platform at its inaugural Wealth Management University event on April 19, uniting around 200 advisors from its 11-member broker-dealer network.

The event, held at Georgia Tech University in Atlanta, GA, ends today, but more are on the cards for 2015.

Created with Cannon Financial Institute, the Wealth Management University's curriculum was designed around four elements: wealth management, business planning, differentiation and marketing.

Through it, advisors can also attain three professional certifications at a discounted rate: Certified Wealth Strategist, Certified Retirement Counselor and Masters Curriculum.

For those who have completed CWS or CRC training , the Masters Curriculum will feature two separate programs: Financial Planning and Passion Prospecting.

Wealth Management University will convene again from August 31 to September 1, 2015, and from October 19 to 22, at the University of Texas in Austin, TX. 

Cetera Financial Group's Wealth Management Summit will also meet in Chicago, IL, on June 11-13.

Additionally, four one-and-a-half-day wealth management workshops will take place during the fall in various US locations, Cetera said.
